Coaching Team

Matt Wigham is an LTA Accredited+ Level 4 Senior Club Coach. He has a 3.2 LTA rating, and represents Cumbria men's county team. In the past two years he has been the hitting partner for WTA singles and doubles players ranked inside the top 125. 

As of September 2018, Matt is based in Australia. In his absence, Caitlin Hindmarsh is running the coaching sessions at Durham Archery Lawn Tennis Club. 

Drawing on his coaching experience, Matt also mentors a number of level 1, 2 and 3 coaches in the North East, and delivers teacher training courses on behalf of the Tennis Foundation. 

Caitlin Hindmarsh is an LTA Accredited Level 3 Coach. She has an LTA rating of 2.2. Caitlin has a wealth of international playing experience, having competed in ITF and Tennis Europe events as a junior. She also played the two most prestigious international junior events: Orange Bowl and Les Petite As (Tarbes), 

As part of these events, Caitlin played and trained with Belinda Bencic, Madison Keys, and Heather Watson. She went on to play tennis in the USA at a Division 1 university. Now back in the North East, she still represents Durham and Cleveland ladies county team every year. 

Caitlin coaches at Durham Archery and Sunderland Tennis Centre. She is available for individual lessons at a rate of £22 per hour. To book an individual lesson with Caitlin, click here
